Sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, the Medal for Academic Excellence, formerly the Henry Adams Medal, is considered the most important award given to graduating students. It is awarded for “general excellence in architecture” throughout the course of study. The medal is awarded to the most qualified student, selected by the entire faculty.

Tau Sigma Delta is an architectural honor society open to top students in the third-, fourth-, and fifth-year architecture studios. Tau Sigma Delta's organizes Friday Forum and the Giles Gallery exhibitions and receptions.
- Bobby & Judy Shackouls Honors College Graduate
The Judy and Bobby Shackouls Honors College is an academic community of over 2,500 students from various backgrounds, who represent a diversity of majors and interests, but share a commitment to intellectual inquiry.

The graduate must complete the requirements for a baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.80 grade point average over the duration of coursework.
- 1st Place, Precast Concrete Institute Design Competition, Cadence Bank Parking Garage Addition
This project was the collaborative development of the architectural and construction aspects of using precast concrete for the design of a building addition to the Cadence Building in downtown Starkville, Mississippi.
